Clonazepam

Clonazepam is a medicine used for the treatment of seizures, panic attacks, and anxiety disorders. It belongs to a group of drugs called benzodiazepines, which act by calming the brain and nerves.

This medicine aids in reducing high brain activity to induce a seizure and bring down anxiety. It takes effect in 30 to 60 minutes, producing long-lasting effects.

It is usually used for short-term purposes because this can lead to dependency over a longer period. Side effects are common: drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, and muscle weakness.

Clonazepam should be used exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Clonazepam drug interactions with alcohol or other sedatives may increase the chances of drowsiness and other side effects.

Klonopin

Klonopin (generic name: clonazepam) is a prescription medication used to treat seizure disorders and panic disorder. It belongs to a class of drugs called benzodiazepines, which act on the brain and nerves (central nervous system) to produce a calming effect.

Klonopin works by enhancing the activity of GABA, a natural chemical in the brain that helps reduce nerve activity. This helps control seizures and relieve anxiety or panic symptoms.
